I was sitting waiting for the 1:15 out of Long Beach to Penn Station. My granddaughter dropped me off at 1:00. There was an announcement that a train was late but not mine. At about 1:11 the the agent announced that the 1:15 arrived. I had started walking out of the waiting room and walked to platform 4. The train was there but as I walked towards the first door, it began moving. I was shocked! I looked at my cell phone and it read 1:13. I complained to the ticket agent who saw me leave. He was no help and that's why I'm writing. I am very angry and now very late for my appointment in NYC. This never happened to me but I do want to know why I am sitting back in the waiting room for the 2:15 train. I'm so angry!Posted on Aug 02, 2016

I had a Ride & Mail card years ago which my wife and I had to by tickets to go to New York City for shows. I lost the ticket and all the info yo need to activate it . We were seniors so we got a discount on the price I was told that is not done any more. Is that right. I am 91 and my wife has passed away. Is there any i can get a Mail and ride ticket. My old ticket password was Lacrosse.Posted on Jun 17, 2016

Hi, I am a long beach LIRR rider to penn station...at 5 pm 5/6/16 there was a long line of people trying to get their tickets, there are two machines and only one was working and and there are no ticket windows open so everyone who could not risk missing the train was charged the extra fee on the train...now there was no one to handle that situation and attend to the inconvenience to the riders, we had to just shut up and pay. it is not fair, this situation could have been handled by someone making the decision to wave that extra fee for the people coming from long beach, after all we are customers. A lot of people were upset, frustrated and disappointed. I hope MTA can come up with a better way to treat riders especially people like me coming from a hard day of work. I have yet to see situations like that handled smoothly on LIRR, it is always about the money.Posted on May 07, 2016
